VIBE MAGAZINE

Moodboard of the VIBE magazines i will be researching. 

VIBE is a music magazine which is founded by producer Quincy Jones. This magazine features both genres R&B and Hiphop with artists that produce the same genres. the VIBE magazine features  Ciara, who also appeared on the cover numerous times and reap legend Tupac Shakur  which are artists that perform Hip hop music.

XXL MAGAZINE

This is a mood board of XXL magazine covers. I will be concentrating on XXL magazines and researching more about their magazine covers. Their magazine is mainly based on the genre Hiphop.  

XXL is an American Hiphop magazine that was published by Townsquare Media. There has been special releases including popular artists in their magazine covers such as Drake and Kendrick Lamar  which was a first solo cover of rappers reviewing classic albums. XXL was one of the top five magazines that were successful and started their own annual awards in 2013. XXL also releases an annual top ten Freshmen list, they included rappers that were not well known so the public and the world will see their success of being a rapper or a singer and give the artists their first taste of fame.

This is the main image for my magazine front cover. The reason why i chose this image is because he is reading a book of Haggerston which makes him look smart and interested in the school Haggerston. He looks presentable, which gives a positive effect to the audience, the main image instantly looks like a role model to them.

FINAL CHOICE:

I decided to use this font because it is bold, clear and fresh. Older students would like a mature looking magazine that looks confident and of a higher quality.

FONT IDEAS

These are some of the fonts I have looked at. My school magazine cover is going to be called 'LIFE CHANGER'. All these fonts are very revealing and suitable for a school magazine cover. They are bold and fresh for students. I only picked three final fonts that would look suitable for may magazine cover. After trying out all these fonts, I decided that this fonts below was the best choice for my magazine cover.

These are some of the photos I took for my magazine front cover. I took different photos and positions of my friend smartly looking which is very important to my audience. I specifically positioned him into places and positions to show a positive and professional effect to the audience.

This is a magazine selfie of me, i have been to some stores such as SAINSBURYS and TESCO to see the different kind of magazine covers and contents page to help me with my school magazine. I found interesting magazine covers that i really liked and that have inspired me, they were very creative and bold.
