DOUBLE PAGE SPREAD MOOD BOARD

This is a mood board of different kinds of double page spreads. I specifically chose these pages because i want my double page spread to look like a mixture of these pages. 

FINAL CONTENTS PAGE

This is my final contents page. I have used various different ethnicities, ages and race in this magazine to show my audience that anyone is free and allowed to read this magazine. This makes my magazine contents page look very god and professional as i have linked to all my target audience which is 16 to 25. This is an open and broad age choice i have chosen which also suggests how anyone could buy this magazine. This also makes the audience comfortable when they see my contests page and it shows both the race, black and white people. The way i have laid out my text makes my contents page look better. This suits my target audience as well as it attracts more and it looks unique and outstanding. I tried to make my contents page look different to other contents pages which i have been successful in. Making these difference would make the audience think how different and catchy my contents page looks. However the colour scheme suits my front cover and does not look dd which is what i tried to achieve.

This is my initial contents page. My previous contents page seemed really boring and unentertaining. I changed the layout again and made it look more funky and more suitable for my target audience.

After analysing and looking at my contents page deeply i realised how dull the colours still look and also the colours for the background i previously used did not match my front cover at all, it looked completely spirit and seem like it did not belong to my front cover. To match my front cover i used the same blue and orange.

My contents page is building up, i make little improvements as i go. Here i have changed the background layout again because the arrow in the background was exactly the same at the background in Jao's picture which is also and arrow and this made my contents page looks tacky and cheap, therefore i divided my page into two different colours that still match with the clothing in the pictures.

Here i have made a little difference with the background making each colour in the background link with every image on the contents page. I have also wrote more page numbers on my contents page.

This time i changed the whole layout of my contents page, i changed the colours to make it seem more rich. All the colours in the contents page link together which is a really good as it does not look tacky and cheap.

First i wanted to put both my models together, but it looked obvious that they weren't together.

I then edited Jao by himself, changing the background colour which is more suitable and also changing his jacket colour to mach the background colour.

I wanted to use the red and grey background with Jao looking at the camera which is direct mode of address. First i cropped out Jao (my model) looking down and cropped the picture where he is looking at the camera and placed him in the background, but this made it look face and unrealistic because of his hair, therefore it did not look good. I then cropped Jao out but left his head and hair stay as it is and replaced Jao's picture of him looking at the camera in the red and grey background and combines his two hairs to make it look like he was actually behind that amazing looking background.  To be able to do this i magic lassoed Jao and placed him on top of the other half of the image. I did not want to use Two pictures with the same position

as shown here, my other model Dillon is in the same position.

I edited some of my model Jao's pictures which i would put on my contents page. I experimented using the photoshop which made me design different kind of colours. I also changed Jao's jacket colour and added some colour to it.

These are photoshoots i have taken for my contents page and edited some to make the picture look more suitable for my contents page and added some colour to it.

FINAL MUSIC MAGAZINE FRONT COVER

This is my final music magazine front cover. The colour scheme is blue, pink, purple, black and white. The reason why i have chosen blue, purple and pink is because these colours match well together. They are odd colours that randomly match and the reason why i did this on purpose is because these colours that are odd to each other, represents Dila's unique fashion taste. Furthermore the Subtitle below the masthead "Think outside the box" links to how Dila is positioned, she is placed outside a box in the magazine cover. This also suggests how unique and different Dila is as she is not the same as other celebrities, she is the only one that "thinks out side the box" mentally and physically.

This is my nearly finished final cover, but after analysing it i realised some mistakes i have made i should correct to end up with a perfectly done front cover. The title 'BANG' it out of place, i realised how wonky it is and it is not straight. However the outline of the masthead 'BANG' it black or grey, this makes the cover look cheap and unprofessional.

I have to straighten stand change the outline to make it bold and solid.

However i have to improve other parts of my magazine as well, i need to change the barcode and make it larger as it is very small and hardly seen. 

The barcode it really small, therefore i need to expand it and make the price bigger so the audience would be able to see it clearly.

 I have decided to use colours that match well together. Here i have changed nearly the whole colour scheme compared to before, i have used one particular colour scheme that only includes five specific colours which are blue, purple, pink, white and black.

I have mainly aimed on these specific colours which go very well together.

After thinking how dull my magazine cover page looked with the dark red i had to make changes and make it look more bright and make it stand out. However looking back at my colour schemes, these colours do not match at all, it looks odd therefore i would make more changes to match to a colour scheme which would make my magazine seem more professional.
