I started editing my photoshoot to make it seem more professional by adding a better lighting, making her makeup look better, cleaning the outline of the picture and making is look like a professional photo 

BEST PHOTO SHOOT PICTURES

These are some of the picture from my photo shoot of Dila i really liked. These pictures are suitable for my Hip Hop magazine cover, the reason for this is because she has that attitude of Hip Hop and R&B. I took different angles and positions, first i just took pictures of her standing but then i realised that it looks boring and uninteresting, therefore i made her include her hands to show that Hip Hop attitude which made a big difference. However taking pictures from the bottom made my model seem more powerful than she looked, it seems liked she controlled the world of Hip Hop. Also i didn't really make my model smile as much as it wouldn't seem serious enough, i wanted a really serious but also a look where everyone would get caught on. I also picked the ones where my model was looking at the camera as i told her to which is direct mode of address. This also gives the audience a little shiver as she it looks like se is staring into your soul which captures the audience immediately.

This time i tried to use different models. I used model Jao in different locations with different backgrounds.

However i tried taking group photos with two people using the models Elisa and Simge.

These are my second pictures i took. My last photoshoot did not include much colour on the costume or enough props to represent the genre Hip Hip therefore i tried out different costumes which would be more suitable for Hip Hop and R&B genre also added gold chains and other various props to improve my photos for my magazine cover.

These are some magazines i was inspired in doing, i found them very interesting and unique including the positions and costume.

I then tried to improve and play around with it including more texts, a barcode and making the colour scheme suitable for the image, this made it more realistic and appealing.

Played around with photos and turned them into magazine covers using the magazine name "BANG" i have chosen which was most voted for.

These are some mastheads i have designed, my Target audience 16-24 year olds also preferred the masthead 'Bang' which also relates to music.   

MUSIC MAGAZINE MASTHEADS

These are some examples of mastheads i have researched of. All these different types of fonts look effective and suitable for my music magazine  cover and my target audience. 'Live' 'Bang' and 'Beat' were titles that sounded interesting and i wanted to play around with the fonts. After researching for many different font styles i decided to go with 'Bang' which was the one that was voted the most. 'Bang' links to music, its a sound as well as an onomatopoeia. Its like a beat involved in Hip Hop and R&B music. Bang is a sudden loud or a sharp noise that links with music. 

I then focused on the masthead 'Bang' only which was the most voted masthead out of all of them. I found different kind of fonts and styles.

This font is one of the best fonts. It looks complex but clear enough for my target audience to understand. I did not choose a simple font, i wanted to go with something that seems more interesting and says more than just simple. The name of my title makes sense to how it is designed as the title is breaking because of the sound 'Bang'. However 6/30 people voted for this masthead, which came second.

This is another font that is suitable for my magazine cover. This font is bold and clear and would be noticeable on my cover. the reason why i chose the font as suitable for my cover is because i would suggest something a little more simple as my cover may include so much to look at and a little complex, a bold font would step across the rest. However this was the most voted font, 11/30 out of all the fonts. This font collected the most amount of votes  from my target audience.

What kind of music do you listen to?

13/24 said that they listen to Hip Hop music the most

6/24 said R&B music

3/24 said jazz and blues music

2/24 people said rock music 

Majority of the people listen to Hip Hop and R&B music, which suggests and proves that majority of my target audience enjoys the genre Hip Hop and R&B.

What kind of magazines to you read?

11/24 said they enjoy reading music magazines that is about Hip Hop music and celebrities involved in that specific genre. 

6/24 said they enjoy reading music magazines that is the genre R&B

4/24 said they love reading fashion magazines

3/24 said they like reading ports magazine

According to my audience research majority of my target audience enjoy reading Hip Hop and R&B music magazines.

What would you want to see on a music magazine page?

They mostly wanted to see the celebrities Jay Z, Drake, Beyonce, Niki Minaj, Tyga, Kanye West, Lil wayne, Chris Brown, 50 Cent and Asap Rocky.

They wanted to see new music albums on the cover and some information about their career and success which includes an interview with the famous celebrities. My target audience was also interested about the lyrics celebrities wrote  and what they meant which is another information they wanted on the magazine.
